In this chapter we survey the theory of statistical solitons, that is, vector fields and constants that solve the Ricci-soliton equation simultaneously for ∇ and ∇^(*), together with the statistical analogue of almost quasi-Yamabe solitons. We discuss two principal settings: (i) statistical warped products R×_f N₂ and N₁×_fR for (pseudo) Riemannian manifolds N₁ and N₂, where the soliton equation constrains the warping function; and (ii) statistical submanifolds of Kenmotsu statistical manifolds, where the position of the Reeb field ξ relative to the submanifold and the presence of concircular or concurrent vector fields determine the Einstein, η-Einstein or quasi-Einstein character of the submanifold. We further review the results of Blaga and Chen on gradient solitons and statistical structures, in particular the connections ∇^θ defined by a 1-form, volume formulas and bounds for the Ricci tensor. We also describe Chen-type inequalities for statistical warped product submanifolds, which give the extrinsic context in which such solitons live. Key steps of the proofs, remarks on the sharpness of hypotheses, worked examples, and open problems are included.

For solitons and quasi-Einstein manifolds, successive traces of first-order pointwise identities yield quadratic equations for the Ricci tensor and its modification. These equations imply radial flatness and radial Q-flatness, respectively, and the corresponding global rigidity theorems apply. For critical spaces, comparison of two expressions for the Laplacian of the Hessian gives a pointwise tensor identity whose scalar contraction yields a weighted divergence formula. Integration then gives the vacuum static, CPE, and Miao–Tam conclusions. The same comparison also proves Ricci parallelism pointwise for solitons and quasi-Einstein manifolds.

On the strip, we show that the Gauss curvature is constant equal to −1, that the Lie algebra of Killing fields is isomorphic to sl(2,ℝ), that every Ricci soliton is trivial (Killing potential, λ=−1), and that a 2-Killing field which is conformal, or which is the potential of a hyperbolic Ricci soliton with λ≠0, is a Killing field. On the unit tangent bundle, we prove that the Lie algebra of Killing fields of (T¹Sₐ,g^S) is four-dimensional and isomorphic to sl(2,ℝ)⊕ℝ, that g^S is not Einstein but is η-Einstein with constant coefficients, Ric^S=−3/2 g^S+2 η⊗η, and that (T¹Sₐ,g^S) admits no Ricci soliton. For hyperbolic Ricci solitons we prove non-existence for Killing, left-invariant, and θ-invariant potentials with conformal projection, and we reduce the general θ-invariant case to a system of equations on the strip; the classification for an arbitrary potential is left open. Finally, we show that the η-Ricci solitons of g^S have a Killing potential and λ=3/2, μ=−2, and that the η-hyperbolic Ricci solitons obtained in the same classes of potentials are the trivial ones, with a Killing potential, μ=−3/2 and ν=2.

Sherif, Yen-Kheng Lim — We introduce a geometric structure – a conformal Killing–Yano Ricci soliton (CKY–RS) – that couples conformal Ricci soliton (CRS) geometry to conformal Killing–Yano (CKY) 2–forms. The soliton field of the CRS geometry is given by the divergence of the CKY 2–form. We introduce a conserved CKY–Cotton current and derive a compatibility identity relating the Cotton tensor, the CRS obstruction tensor, and the CKY 2–form. In 4–dimensional Lorentzian signature, we show that, under non-degeneracy and closedness assumptions on the CKY form, a CKY–RS structure forces the conformal representative to be locally Kerr–NUT–(A)dS. For a closed non-degenerate CKY on a Kerr–NUT–(A)dS background, the conformal deformation is necessarily trivial. For Einstein backgrounds of arbitrary dimension and signature, the conformal factor satisfies an eigenvalue equation and an Obata–type Hessian equation. If the background is also compact or a CKY orbit is periodic, the conformal factor is an invariant of the CKY–flow and we obtain simple spectral obstructions to non-trivial CKY–RS structures. From the Hessian equation, we obtain obstruction and classification results for the non-trivial conformal sector, including product/Brinkmann geometries and a Weyl–aligned branch. Finally, we give explicit constructions for static spherically symmetric geometries and BTZ backgrounds, including a CKY–RS realization with a time-dependent conformally flat representative. These results provide a geometric framework for studying CRS with hidden symmetry structure, with potential applications to exact geometries in general relativity.

First, we examine the conditions under which such a manifold admits a Ricci soliton structure and demonstrate that this property implies the almost θ-Yamabe soliton structure. Furthermore, we show that if the associated potential vector field X is a symmetry of the Ricci tensor of a fixed order k (i.e., 𝓛_X^k Ric = 0), the geometric problem reduces to solving a partial differential equation of order k+1 along the flow. This includes gradient Ricci solitons and has a natural correspondence with the warped product Einstein manifolds. A quasi-Einstein metric is said to be rigid when it reduces to an Einstein metric. On a different note, Einstein metrics can be viewed as fixed points of the Ricci flow up to homothety. While gradient Ricci solitons are generalized fixed points of the Ricci flow, not much is known, in general, about the evolution of quasi-Einstein metrics under the Ricci flow. In this paper, we employ an identity associated to the evolution of curvature along the Ricci flow, to conclude the rigidity of certain closed quasi-Einstein manifolds.

Next, we exhibit that an expanding almost gradient Ricci soliton on base manifold of non-compact and connected static spacetime satisfies shrodinger's equation for a smooth function f. Also, we find the soliton constant under which the static perfect fluid spacetime with almost gradient Ricci soliton holds the null convergence condition and the strong energy condition. Further, we study the almost gradient Ricci soliton on base manifold of static perfect fluid spacetime with potential function as warping function and it is shown that the base manifold of a static perfect fluid spacetime with an almost gradient Ricci soliton is an Einstein manifold. Next, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition on soliton constant to obey timelike convergence condition. In the paper, the concept of the ∗-Ricci tensor is adapted to weak almost contact manifolds, the interaction of the ∗-η-Ricci soliton with the weak β-Kenmotsu structure (with β=const) is studied and new characteristics of Einstein metrics are obtained.

Yano is due to the study of topology and dynamics of contact foliations, which generalize the flow of the Reeb vector field on contact manifolds to higher dimensions. Weak metric structures introduced by V. Rovenski and R. Wolak as a generalization of Hermitian and Kähler structures, as well as f-structures, allow a fresh look at the classical theory. In this paper, we study a new f-structure of this kind, called the weak β-Kenmotsu f-structure, as a generalization of K. Kenmotsu's concept. We prove that a weak β-Kenmotsu f-manifold is locally a twisted product of the Euclidean space and a weak Kähler manifold. Our main results show that such manifolds with β=const and equipped with an η-Ricci soliton structure whose potential vector field satisfies certain conditions are η-Einstein manifolds of constant scalar curvature.

Moreover, we consider η-Ricci solitons on Kenmotsu 3-manifolds with Codazzi type of Ricci tensor and cyclic parallel Ricci tensor. Beside these, we study φ-Ricci symmetric η-Ricci soliton on Kenmotsu 3-manifolds. Also Kenmotsu 3-manifolds satisfying the curvature condition R.R=Q(S,R) is considered. Blaga — We study some properties of a 3-dimensional manifold with a diagonal Riemannian metric as an almost η-Ricci soliton from the following points of view: under certain assumptions, we determine the potential vector field if η is given; we get constraints on the metric when the potential vector field has a particular expression; we compute the defining functions of the soliton when both the potential vector field and the 1-form are prescribed. Moreover, we find conditions for the manifold to be flat. We prove that (M, F, m) is a gradient almost Ricci soliton if and only if the infinity-Ricci curvature Ric_∞ is a scalar function on M when M is compact. Moreover, we give an equivalent characterization of (gradient) almost Ricci solitons for Randers metrics F=α+β, which implies that every Randers (gradient) almost Ricci soliton is of isotropic S_BH-curvature. Based on this and the navigation technique, we further classify Randers almost Ricci solitons (resp. gradient almost Ricci solitons) up to classifications of Randers Einstein metrics F (resp. Riemannian gradient almost Ricci solitons) and the homothetic vector fields of F (resp. solutions of the equation which the weight function f of m satisfies) when F has isotropic S_BH-curvature. As applications, we obtain some rigidity results for compact Randers (gradient) Ricci solitons and construct several Randers gradient Ricci solitons, which are the first nontrivial examples of gradient Ricci solitons in Finsler geometry.

Firstly, we construct a non-trivial example to prove the existence of a semi-symmetric type non-metric connection on N³. It is established that a N³ with the semi-symmetric type non-metric connection, whose metric is a gradient Ricci soliton, is a manifold of constant sectional curvature with respect to the semi-symmetric type non-metric connection. Moreover, we prove that if the Riemannian metric of N³ with the semi-symmetric type non-metric connection is a gradient Yamabe soliton, then either N³ is a manifold of constant scalar curvature or the gradient Yamabe soliton is trivial with respect to the semi-symmetric type non-metric connection. We also characterize the manifold N³ with a semi-symmetric type non-metric connection whose metrics are Einstein solitons and m-quasi Einstein solitons of gradient type, respectively.

Besides, we demonstrate that in this scenario the GRW spacetime presents the Robertson-Walker (RW) spacetime and the perfect fluid (PF) spacetime presents the phantom era. Consequently, we show that if a GRW spacetime permits a gradient τ- Einstein solitons, then it also represents a PF spacetime under certain condition.
