The IIB system is a system of PDEs for an SU(3)–structure and a positive function on a 6-manifold. Its solutions describe conformally balanced pluriclosed Hemitian metrics on complex 3-folds with holomorphically trivial canonical line bundle. In particular, solutions of the IIB system are steady solitons for the generalized Ricci-flow and Bismut–Hermitian–Einstein metrics. In this paper we study cohomogeneity one solutions of the IIB system. We construct 1-parameter families (up to scaling symmetries) of complete non-compact non-Kähler solutions on the smoothing of the conifold with controlled geometry at infinity. The generic member of the family is asymptotically conical with tangent cone at infinity the Calabi–Yau cone metric on the conifold. As a limit of the family we recover an explicit solutions known in the physics literature as the Chamseddine–Volkov/Maldacena–Nuñez solution, which has an exotic asymptotic geometry. We show that there are no complete cohomogeneity one solutions on crepant resolutions of the conifold (or its quotient), but we also establish the existence of an analogous 1-parameter family of forward complete solutions defined on exterior domains of the conifold with prescribed incomplete behaviour along the interior boundary and similar asymptotic behaviour at infinity. As a byproduct of these existence results, we produce infinitely many complete non-compact non-Kähler Bismut–Hermitian–Einstein metrics in complex dimension 3 with full holonomy of the Bismut connection, in contrast to the holonomy reduction forced upon compact examples. We also find infinitely many such complete non-compact full-holonomy non-Kähler examples (with at least two ends) in complex dimension 2 by revisiting a construction due to Callan–Harvey–Strominger in the physics literature.
We study the classical problem of sectional curvature pinching in the class of 2-step nilmanifolds, which are necessarily of mixed curvature. We show that the pinching constant of any 2-step nilmanifold lies in the compact interval [−3,−23]. The upper bound −23 is achieved by the complex Heisenberg group Heis3(C) with a Ricci soliton metric. The upper bound exhibits rigidity: if a simply connected 2-step nilmanifold N has the pinching constant −23, then N admits a Ricci soliton complex Heisenberg group as a totally geodesic subgroup. On the other hand, the lower bound satisfies non-rigidity: any 2-step nilpotent Lie group admits a metric with pinching constant −3. This is derived by showing that there is an open neighborhood U of Heis3(R)×Rn−3 in the space of n-dimensional 2-step nilmanifolds such that the pinching constant is −3 on U, and any 2-step nilpotent Lie group N has a metric g such that (N,g) lies in U. In fact, if N is not isomorphic to Heis3(R)×Rn−3, then there is a curve gt of metrics on N with (N,gt)∈U, showing that there are uncountably many left-invariant metrics on N such that the pinching constant is −3. An algebraic characterization of a 2-step nilpotent Lie group that admits a metric with the pinching constant −23 is also given, and the pinching constants of various examples are computed.
In this paper, we study the harmonicity and existence of algebraic generalized Ricci solitons. Firstly, we characterize harmonic torsion of algebraic generalized Ricci solitons on arbitrary metric Lie algebras by an identity involving the Killing form. In particular, positive semidefiniteness of the Killing form implies harmonicity without a unimodularity assumption. Then, we construct generalized nilsolitons with nonzero torsion on indecomposable three-step nilpotent Lie algebras admitting no classical nilsoliton, in dimension seven and in dimensions 6m+d for m>d≥1. Furthermore, we provide a spectral obstruction for nilpotent Lie algebras with abelian derived algebra and an obstruction based on the action of derivations on the quotient by the center. Combining these obstructions with explicit constructions, we prove that the filiform Lie algebra m2(n), n≥5, admits a generalized nilsoliton if and only if 5≤n≤8.
In this article, we study Ricci-Yamabe solitons on the Lie groupSol×Rn equipped with a natural left-invariant Riemannian metric, explicitly determining the vector fields that characterize them. We then deduce that, in the case of a Ricci soliton, it is expanding, whereas in the case of a Yamabe soliton, it is shrinking. Finally, we show that if this Lie group is a gradient Ricci-Yamabe soliton, the vector field belongs to Span{∂t1,…,∂tn}, and we explicitly provide the Perelman potential.
We determine the long-time behavior of the canonical Ricci flow on a closed three-manifold of Thurston type R3, Nil, or Sol, starting from an arbitrary initial metric. In the Euclidean case, the metric g(t) converges exponentially fast to a flat metric. The Gromov–Hausdorff limit of (M,t−1g(t)) is a point in the Euclidean and Nil cases, and a metric circle or a compact interval of positive length in the Sol case. In all three cases, the blowdown flows lifted to the universal cover, s−1g(sτ), converge, in the pointed Cheeger–Hamilton sense, to an explicit homogeneous expanding Ricci soliton solution.
We prove that every compact four-dimensional weakly Einstein Ricci soliton is Einstein. The nontrivial compact case reduces to the gradient shrinking setting, where a differential identity for weakly Einstein four-manifolds, together with the curvature identity for gradient Ricci solitons, yields the pointwise relation ∣R∣2∇f=0 for the soliton potential f. Consequently, no compact proper weakly Einstein four-manifold admits a Ricci soliton structure. A noncompacthomogeneous example shows that the compactness assumption is essential.
We relate the generalized Ricci curvature of left-invariant generalized metrics on a Lie group with the Ricci curvature of certain metric Lie algebras. As an application, we prove subconvergence of rescaled generalized Ricci flows to expanding generalized Ricci solitons on simply connected Lie groups with positive semi-definite Killing form. Under the same hypotheses, subconvergence of pluriclosed flows to expanding pluriclosed solitons is also shown. We further prove that left-invariant Bismut-Ricci flat metrics arise as critical points for the generalized scalar curvature functional on unimodular Lie groups. In view of this, we establish dynamical stability for the generalized Ricci flow of so-called standard bi-invariant, Bismut-flat metrics on compact, simply connected, semisimple Lie groups and construct examples of dynamically unstable Bismut-flat metrics which are non-standard.
In this paper, we compute the canonical and Kobayashi-Nomizu connections, together with their curvature, on Lorentzian four-dimensionalnilpotent Lie groups endowed with a product structure. We also classify the algebraic Ricci solitons associated with these connections.

We study normalized Ricci flow on simply connected homogeneous spaces G/H for which the isotropy representation splits into exactly two equivalent irreducible subrepresentations. We prove that every G-invariant metric evolves to one with positive Ricci curvature, and that the family of G-invariant metrics with positive Ricci curvature is forward-invariant under the flow. The proof relies on the fact that the phase portrait of the family of fixed-volume G-invariant metrics can be explicitly visualized.
In this paper, we study Ricci solitons on the three-dimensionalsolvable Lie group Solm,n3 equipped with a left-invariant Riemannian metric, viewed as a generalization of the classical Sol3 geometry. We investigate harmonic maps, harmonic sections, and geodesic curves, including the geodesic properties of the integral curves of the Ricci soliton vector field. We also characterize harmonic linear maps from Solm,n3 into Euclidean spaces.

We study non-compactRicci solitons of finite volume whose potential vector field has constant length. Under the assumptions that the scalar curvature is constant along the integral curves of the potential field and that a natural divergence term is integrable on the unit tangent bundle, we prove that such Ricci solitons are necessarily trivial. As applications, we obtain rigidity and non-existence results for Ricci solitons whose potential field is the Reeb vector field of almost contact metric and almost α-cosymplectic manifolds. In dimension three, we derive consequences for almost α-cosymplectic and contact metric manifolds, and we compare our results with the classification of homogeneous almost α-cosymplectic Ricci solitons due to Li and Liu. Several examples and non-examples are included to illustrate the necessity of the finite-volume and sign assumptions.
Let V be an n-dimensional Euclidean vector space, ,where n≥4, and ℓ=⌊2n⌋. We prove the sharp pointwise estimate q2(E)≥−3ℓ2(ℓ−1)Scal(E)IdΛ2V∗ for every algebraic curvature tensor E on V with nonnegative sectional curvature. Applying this estimate to the decomposition Rmg=KminI+E, we obtain the vanishing of H2(M;R) under a dimension-dependent strict sectional-scalar curvaturepinching condition. At the weak endpoint, all harmonic two-forms are parallel. Apart from the flat case, this yields b2(M)=0 in odd dimensions and b2(M)≤1 in even dimensions. At even-dimensional endpoint, b2(M)>0 forces (M,g) to be isometric, up to scaling, to CPℓ with its Fubini-Study metric. As a consequence every closed five-dimensional manifold satisfying the strict pinching condition implies is a rational homology sphere. An anisotropic rescaling of the same homogeneous four-frame estimate also gives the sharp pointwise sectional-scalar pinching criterion Kmin≥n2−n+12n(n−1)S0⟹PIC2. The strict pinching places the curvature tensor in the interior of PIC2 and normalized Ricci flow brings it to a positive constant sectional curvature.
Nilpotent Lie groups with left-invariant metrics provide nontrivial examples of Ricci solitons. Some typical examples are given by the class of two-step nilpotent Lie algebras obtained from simple directed graphs and the class of nilpotent Lie algebras obtained from finite acyclic quivers. In this paper, we generalize the construction of nilpotent Lie algebras that are algebraic Ricci solitons obtained from finite acyclic quivers. We use some special ordered sets to construct nilpotent Lie algebras, which can also be obtained from some special quivers with relations. A transitively and antisymmetrically ordered set (or TAOS, for short) is a set together with a binary relation that is transitive and antisymmetric. Utilizing the concept of incidence algebras of TAOSs, we construct nilpotent Lie algebras. We modify the method introduced by Mizoguchi and Tamaru and use it to show that the nilpotent Lie algebras with arbitrarily high degrees of nilpotency obtained from some special finite transitively and antisymmetrically ordered sets, called array TAOSs, are algebraic Ricci solitons. We also give some generalizations of this result, which yield more nilpotent Lie algebras that are algebraic Ricci solitons. Moreover, the corresponding simply-connected nilpotent Lie groups admit left-invariant Ricci solitons.

We prove that the Ricci flow preserves positive sectional curvature on homogeneous spheres and complex projective spaces. In conjunction with prior results, this completes the classification of which homogeneous spaces have positively curved metrics flowing outside the set of positively curved metrics and which do not.
This paper studies a non-trivial gradient Kähler-Ricci soliton, of complex dimension n, with an isometry group of dimension at least n2−1. We show that the isometry group acts by cohomogeneity one and, consequently, admits a special ansatz involving a Sasakian model. In complex dimension two, we can actually say more: namely, that every such soliton has maximal symmetry; that is, the isometry group is exactly of dimension 22. In addition, we prove that, if the isometry group acts by cohomogeneity one on a non-trivial gradient Ricci soliton (not necessarily Kähler), the potential function is invariant by the action.

In this paper, we consider a left-invariant Riemannian metric g on the Lie groupF4. We classify Ricci solitons on (F4,g) and show that all such solitons are expanding and non-gradient. Moreover, we study the existence of harmonic maps from compact Riemannian manifolds into (F4,g). Finally, we characterize a class of harmonic vector fields on (F4,g).
We prove a precompactness theorem for invariant metrics on compact homogeneous spaces without injectivity radius bounds, assuming uniform bounds on the diameter and on all derivatives of the curvature tensor. As a consequence, we prove that every ancient homogeneous Ricci flow on a compact manifold admits a blow-down sequence that converges to a gradient shrinking Ricci soliton.

We describe four-dimensional Lorentzian algebraic Ricci solitons. In sharp contrast with the Riemannian situation, any connected and simply connected four-dimensional Lie group admits a left-invariant Lorentz metric which is a Ricci soliton.
We investigate the conditions under which pseudo-Riemannian inner products induce pseudo-Riemannian algebraic Ricci solitons on four-dimensional Lie algebras. By analyzing the algebraic Ricci soliton equation for each four-dimensional Lie algebra, we obtain a complete description of when such pseudo-Riemannian algebraic Ricci solitons arise in dimension four. We present two applications of our formalism on a chosen four-dimensional Lie algebra by exhibiting a pseudo-Riemannian algebraic Ricci soliton and a flat pseudo-Riemannian inner product, which is a trivial algebraic Ricci soliton.
In this article, we investigate when a left-invariant Riemannian metric on a Lie group is a Ricci soliton, under the assumption that the derived algebra has dimension at most two. We establish computable necessary and sufficient conditions for a given left-invariant Riemannian metric to be a Ricci soliton. As applications, we obtain several examples of Ricci nilsolitons and apply our results to indecomposable Lie groups of dimension at least five with two-dimensional derived algebra.

In the framework of the study of homogeneous Lorentzian three-manifolds, we consider here the only class of examples which admit a four-dimensional group of isometries but are neither Lorentzian Bianchi-Cartan-Vranceanu spaces nor plane waves. We obtain an explicit description in global coordinates of these special homogeneous Lorentzian manifolds. We then prove that all such examples are non-gradient expanding Ricci solitons.
We consider the space of smooth gradient expanding Ricci soliton structures on S1×R3 and S2×R2 which are invariant under the action of SO(3)×SO(2). In the case of each topology, there exists a 2-parameter family of cohomogeneity one solitons asymptotic to cones over the link S2×S1, as constructed by Nienhaus-Wink and Buzano-Dancer-Gallaugher-Wang. By analyzing the resultant soliton ODEs, we reconstruct the 2-parameter families in each case and provide an alternate proof of conicality. Analogous to work of Bamler and Chen, we define a notion of expander degree for these cohomogeneity one solitons through a properness result. We then proceed to calculate this cohomogeneity one expander degree in the cases of the specific topologies.
This article deals with the problems of preserving the Ricci curvature positivity on homogeneous spaces under the normalized Ricci flow (NRF). We found out infinitely many generalized Wallach spaces (GWS) on which the positivity of the Ricci curvature of metrics is preserved when evolved by the NRF. Analogously, the number of GWS is infinite as well, when the positivity of the Ricci curvature can be lost. We also obtain some refinements to our previous results devoted to the case of coincided parameters. A series of examples is discussed.

Riemannian Einstein solvmanifolds can be described in terms of nilsolitons, namely nilpotent Lie groups endowed with a left-invariant Ricci soliton metric. This characterization does not extend to indefinite metrics; nonetheless, nilsolitons can be defined and used to construct Einstein solvmanifolds of a higher dimension in any signature. An Einstein solvmanifold obtained by this construction turns out to satisfy the pseudo-Iwasawa condition, meaning that its Lie algebra splits as the orthogonal sum of a nilpotent ideal and an abelian subalgebra, the latter acting by symmetric derivations. In this paper we construct a family of pseudo-Iwasawa solvmanifolds admitting a Killing spinor in any dimension and signature and prove that all pseudo-Iwasawa solvmanifolds admitting a Killing spinor, invariant or not, belong to this family. If in addition the metric is Einstein, we show that the only possibility is the hyperbolic half-space. As a byproduct, we prove that the only homogeneous Riemannian manifold admitting a Killing spinor with imaginary Killing constant is hyperbolic space.
We prove a universal embedding theorem for flag manifolds: every flag manifold admits a holomorphic isometric embedding into an irreducible classical flag manifold. This result generalizes the classical celebrated embedding theorems of Takeuchi [30] and Nakagawa-Takagi [27]. Using this embedding, we establish new rigidity phenomena for holomorphic isometries between homogeneousKähler manifolds. As a first immediate consequence we show the triviality of a Kähler-Ricci soliton submanifod of C×Ω, where C is a flag manifold and Ω is a homogeneous bounded domain. Secondly, we show that no weak-relative relationship can occur among the fundamental classes of homogeneous Kähler manifolds: flat spaces, flag manifolds, and homogeneous bounded domains. Two Kähler manifolds are said to be weak relatives if they share, up to local isometry, a common Kähler submanifold of complex dimension at least two. Our main result precisely shows that if E is (possibly indefinite) flat, C is a flag manifold, and Ω is a homogeneous bounded domain, then: E is not weak relative to C×Ω; C is not weak relative to E×Ω; Ω is not weak relative to E×C. This extends, in two independent directions, the rigidity theorem of Loi-Mossa [22]: we pass from relatives to the more flexible notion of weak relatives and dispense with the earlier "special" restriction on the flag-manifold factor. This result also unifies previous rigidity results from the literature, e.g., [5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 32].
We prove the dynamical Alekseevski conjecture in dimension five. We also provide a detailed analysis of the homogeneousRicci flows on SO(3)⋉R3/SO(2) and SL(2,C)/U(1).
We show that for a broad family of noncompacthomogeneous Riemannian manifolds, the corresponding homogeneous Ricci flow solutions have finite extinction time, thereby confirming the dynamical Alekseevskii conjecture for these spaces. As an application, we prove that on such homogeneous manifolds G/H, the space of all G-invariant positive scalar curvature metrics is contractible.
Motivated by the long-time behavior of Ricci flows that collapse with bounded curvature, we study expanding Ricci solitons with nilpotent symmetry on vector bundles over a closed manifold. We prove that, under mild assumptions that are satisfied by Ricci flow limits, the equations dimension-reduce to the so-called twisted harmonic-Einstein equations. When the base is a surface, we establish a correspondence between solutions of the latter and a class of G-Higgs bundles. This allows us to produce infinite families of new examples that are not locally homogeneous, and in particular to obtain a complete description in dimension 4. We also show that all our examples admit Einstein one-dimensional extensions.
This paper studies a complete gradient Ricci soliton with an isoparametric potential function. Our first theorem asserts that, for the steady case, there is a critical level set of codimension greater than one. This is consistent with construction of cohomogeneity one models with singular orbits. There is a partial result for the shrinking case. We also study a particular ansatz of popular interest and obtain asymptotic behaviors.
We establish a symmetry principle for asymptotically cylindrical steady gradient Ricci solitons (GRSs) and asymptotically conical expanding GRSs with homogeneous links. Using this, we show that the Bryant steady soliton is the unique asymptotically cylindrical steady GRS that has a round spherical link and satisfies a particular quantitative rigidity condition. A similar characterization is proved for Bryant's expanding solitons. Finally, we establish a global symmetry result for GRSs which exhibit the aforementioned asymptotics with quotient-Berger sphere asymptotic links.
Simply-connected four-dimensional gradient Ricci solitons that are invariant under a compact cohomogeneity one group action have been studied extensively. However, the special case where the group is SU(2) (the smallest possible example) has received comparatively little attention. The purpose of this article is to give a comprehensive study of simply-connected SU(2)-invariant expanding and shrinking cohomogeneity one gradient Ricci solitons. The first result is the construction of new 3-parameter families of complete SU(2)-invariant asymptotically conical expanding gradient Ricci solitons. New shrinking KählerU(2)-invariant gradient Ricci solitons in dimension 4 with orbifold singularities are also constructed, leading to a classification of such metrics when the base space of the orbifold is a simply-connected smooth manifold. Finally, we highlight numerical evidence that all the compact cohomogeneity one shrinking gradient Ricci solitons are known.
We show that the system of vacuum Einstein equations (i.e., Ricci-flat metrics) with two hypersurface-orthogonal, commuting Killing vector fields in d≥5 dimensions is invariant under the action of a one-parameter Lie group, and the group action on any metric can be expressed in a closed, universal form. This enables the generation of a one-parameter family of solutions from any given "seed" solution of the system without solving additional equations, as well as one-parameter families of local steady Ricci solitons. This extends the Lie point symmetry in four dimensions, found earlier for axisymmetric static vacuum systems, and provides the first example of solution generation in higher-dimensional vacuum Einstein equations that can be realized purely algebraically.

This paper is concerned with the geometry of principal orbits in quaternionic Kähler manifolds M of cohomogeneity one. We focus on the complete cohomogeneity one examples obtained from the non-compact quaternionic Kähler symmetric spaces associated with the simple Lie groups of type A by the one-loop deformation. We prove that for zero deformation parameter the principal orbits form a fibration by solvsolitons (nilsolitons if 4n=dimM=4). The underlying solvable group is non-unimodular if n>1 and is the Heisenberg group if n=1. We show that under the deformation, the hypersurfaces remain solvmanifolds but cease to be Ricci solitons.
The full classification of Riemannian 3-symmetric spaces is presented. Up to Riemannian products the main building blocks consist in (possibly symmetric) spaces with semisimple isometry group, nilpotent Lie groups of step at most 2 and spaces of type III and IV. For the most interesting family of examples, the Type III spaces, we produce an explicit description including results concerning the moduli space of all 3-symmetric metrics living on a given Type III space. Each moduli space contains a unique distinguished point corresponding to an (almost-Kähler) expanding Ricci soliton metric. For certain classes of 3-symmetric metrics there are many different groups acting transitively and isometrically on a fixed Riemannian 3-symmetric space. The construction of expanding Ricci solitons on spaces of Type III is also shown to generalize to any effective representation of a simple Lie group of non-compact type, yielding a very general construction of homogeneous Ricci solitons. We also give a procedure to compute the isometry group of any Ambrose–Singer space.
This paper explores the behavior of the torsional rigidity of a precompact domain as the ambient manifold evolves under a geometric flow. Specifically, we derive bounds on torsional rigidity under the Ricci Flow for Heisenberg spaces and homogeneous spheres. Additionally, we establish bounds under the Inverse Mean Curvature Flow for strictly convex, free-boundary, disk-type hypersurfaces within a ball. In this latter case, by extending the analysis to the maximal existence time of the flow, we obtain inequalities of comparison with the flat disk for both volume and torsional rigidity.
In this article we study generalizations of the inhomogeneous Burgers equation. First at the operator level, in the sense that we replace classical differential derivations by operators with certain properties, and then we increase the spatial dimensions of the Burgers equation, which is usually studied in one spatial dimension. This allows us, in one dimension, to find mathematical relationships between solutions of hyperbolic Brownian motion and the Burgers equations, which usually study the behaviour of mechanical fluids, and also, through appropriate transformations, to obtain in some cases exact solutions that depend on Hermite polynomials composed of appropriate functions. In the multi-dimensional case, this generalization allows us, by means of the method of invariant spaces, to find exact solutions on Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian varieties, such as Schwarzschild and Ricci Solitons space, with time dictated by fractional derivatives, such as a Caputo-type operator of fractional evolution.
We establish the existence of two 3-parameter families of non-Einstein, non-shrinking Ricci solitons: one on Hm+1 and one on HPm+1\{∗}. Each family includes a continuous 1-parameter subfamily of asymptotically paraboloidal (non-collapsed) steady Ricci solitons, with the Jensen sphere as the base. Additionally, we extend this result by proving the existence of a 2-parameter family on O2, which contains a 1-parameter subfamily of asymptotically paraboloidal steady Ricci solitons based on the Bourguignon–Karcher sphere.
We use Lott's functional and construct a new functional to derive rigidity results for invariant Ricci flow blowdown limits on nilpotent principal bundles with zero associated curvature. Consequently, we prove that the blowdown limit is locally an expanding Ricci soliton when the structure group is the three dimensional Heisenberg group. In addition, we classify this soliton when the base manifold is one dimensional. This, together with Lott's work in the abelian setting, yields a complete local classification of invariant Ricci flow blowdown limits on four dimensional, nilpotent principal bundles.
We elaborate on a model of nonassociative and noncommutative gauge gravity for the de Sitter gauge group SO(4,1) embedding extensions of the affine structure group Af(4,1) and the Poincaré group ISO(3,1). In string theory, such nonassociative gauge gravity theories are determined by star product R-flux deformations. They are new avenues to quantum gravity and geometric and quantum information theories. We analyze physically important and geometric thermodynamic properties of new classes of generic off-diagonal cosmological solitonic solutions encoding nonassociative effective sources. Particularly, we focus on modelling by such solutions of locally anisotropic and inhomogeneous dark matter and dark energy structures generated as nonassociative solitonic hierarchies. Such accelerating cosmological evolution scenarios can't be described in the framework of the Bekenstein-Hawking thermodynamic formalism. This motivates a change in the gravitational thermodynamic paradigm by considering nonassociative and relativistic generalizations of the concept of W-entropy in the theory of Ricci flows. Finally, we compute the corresponding modified G. Perelman's thermodynamic variables and analyze the temperature-like evolution of cosmological constants determined by nonassociative cosmological flows.
We introduce new families of four-dimensionalRicci solitons of cohomogeneity two with volume collapsing ends. In a local presentation of the metric conformal to a product, we reduce the soliton equation to a degenerate Monge-Ampère equation for the conformal factor coupled with ODEs. We obtain explicit complete expanding solitons as well as abstract existence results for shrinking and steady solitons with boundary. These families of Ricci solitons specialize to classical examples of Einstein and soliton metrics. We also classify local solutions of this Monge-Ampère equation to prove rigidity for these solitons.
Any homogeneous expanding Ricci soliton is known to be isometric to a Lie subgroup of the solvable part of the Iwasawa decomposition associated with a symmetric space of non-compact type, with the metric induced as a submanifold. In this paper, we classify and analyze the geometry of such Lie subgroups with Ricci soliton induced metric when the symmetric spaces are complex hyperbolic spaces.
We develop a framework inspired by Lauret's "bracket flow" to study the generalized Ricci flow, as introduced by Streets, on discrete quotients of Lie groups. As a first application, we establish global existence on solvmanifolds in arbitrary dimensions, a result which is new even for the pluriclosed flow. We also define a notion of generalized Ricci soliton on exact Courant algebroids that is geometrically meaningful and allows for non-trivial expanding examples. On nilmanifolds, we show that these solitons arise as rescaled limits of the generalized Ricci flow, provided the initial metrics have "harmonic torsion", and we classify them in low dimensions. Finally, we provide a new formula for the generalized Ricci curvature of invariant generalized metrics in terms of a moment map for the action of a non-reductive real Lie group.
We classify superpotentials for the Hamiltonian system corresponding to the cohomogeneity one gradient Ricci soliton equations. Aside from recovering known examples of superpotentials for steady solitons, we find a new superpotential on a specific case of the Bérard Bergery-Calabi ansatz. The latter is used to obtain an explicit formula for a steady complete soliton with an equidistant family of hypersurfaces given by circle bundles over S2×S2. There are no superpotentials in the non-steady case in dimensions greater than 2, even if polynomial coefficients are allowed. We also briefly discuss generalised first integrals and the limitations of some known methods of finding them.
We prove the existence of a one-parameter family of pairwise non-isometric, complete, positively curved, steady generalized Ricci solitons of gradient type on R3 that are invariant under the natural cohomogeneity one action of SO(3). In the context of generalized Ricci flow, this result represents the analogue of Bryant's construction of the complete rotationally invariant steady soliton for the Ricci flow.
The fixed points of the generalized Ricci flow are the Bismut Ricci flat metrics, i.e., a generalized metric (g,H) on a manifold M, where g is a Riemannian metric and H a closed 3-form, such that H is g-harmonic and Rc(g)=41Hg2. Given two standard Einstein homogeneous spaces Gi/K, where each Gi is a compact simple Lie group and K is a closed subgroup of them holding some extra assumption, we consider M=G1×G2/ΔK. Recently, Lauret and Will proved the existence of a Bismut Ricci flat metric on any of these spaces. We proved that this metric is always asymptotically stable for the generalized Ricci flow on M among a subset of G-invariant metrics and, if G1=G2, then it is globally stable.
In this paper, we investigate homogeneous Riemannian geometry on real flag manifolds of the split real form of g2. We characterize the metrics that are invariant under the action of a maximal compact subgroup of G2. Our exploration encompasses the analysis of g.o. metrics and equigeodesics on the g2-type flag manifolds. Additionally, we explore the Ricci flow for the case where the isotropy representation has no equivalent summands, employing techniques from the qualitative theory of dynamical systems.
We show that the set of awesome homogeneous metrics on non-compact manifolds is Ricci flow invariant. Moreover, if the universal cover of such awesome homogeneous space is not contractible the Ricci flow has finite extinction time, confirming the Dynamical Alekseevskii Conjecture in this case. We also analyze the long-time limits of awesome homogeneous Ricci flows.

Collapsed ancient solutions to the homogeneousRicci flow on compact manifolds occur only on the total space of principal torus bundles. Under an algebraic assumption that guarantees flowing through diagonal metrics and a tameness assumption on the collapsing directions, we prove that such solutions have additional symmetries, i.e., they are invariant under the right action of their collapsing torus. As a byproduct of these additional torus symmetries, we prove that these solutions converge, backward in time, in the Gromov-Hausdorff topology to an Einstein metric on the base of a torus bundle.
We give an algebraic criterion for a nilpotent real Lie algebra and prove that it provides a necessary and sufficient condition for the associated nilpotent Lie group to admit left-invariant Ricci solitons, called nilsolitons. As an application of this result, we generalise Nikolayevsky's criterion for the existence of nilsolitons to nilpotent Lie algebras without nice bases. We further prove a modified version of the Taketomi–Tamaru conjecture for nilpotent Lie groups which gives an obstruction to the existence of nilsolitons.
All known examples of simply-connected gradient Kähler-Ricci soliton in real dimension four are toric, and the symmetry is intrinsically related to the potential function f and the scalar curvature\SS. In this article, we consider the case that f and \SS are functionally dependent and deduce a complete classification, while the independence case is addressed elsewhere. The main theorem recovers all known examples of cohomogeneity one symmetry. We also discover a connection to the theory of isoparametric functions and contact geometry. Indeed, a key ingredient is a new characterization for a deformed Sasakian structure generalizing a classical result.
We discuss local Sasakian immersion of Sasaki-Ricci solitons (SRS) into fiber products of homogeneous Sasakian manifolds. In particular, we prove that SRS locally induced by a large class of fiber products of homogeneous Sasakian manifolds are, in fact, η-Einstein. The results are stronger for immersions into Sasakian space forms. Moreover, we show an example of a Kähler-Ricci soliton on Cn which admits no local holomorphic isometry into products of homogeneous bounded domains with flat Kähler manifolds and generalized flag manifolds.
