An NP ID is this community's own identifier. arXiv and ORCID cover every researcher in every field; an NP ID exists only for Ricci flow, the Poincaré conjecture and the geometric flows around them. Holding one says where your work is.
- Only this field. IDs are issued for work or study in these subjects and no others, however good the work. Every request is read by a person. Numbers are random, so none of them says who came first.
- Yours for good. Your ID stays the same if your name, your institution or your email changes, and it brings all your papers here together in one place.
- A way to find each other. Your ID opens your page: your co-authors, people working on the same topics, your talks and meetings. Others in the field can find you by ID and follow your new papers, and you can add an ORCID or a homepage so they can reach you. There is no messaging on this site: contact goes through the links you choose to show.
Have a paper here? You already have an ID: search your name below. Studying or working on these topics, but not listed yet? Request one, and say what connects you to the field: a paper, a thesis, a seminar, a course, or what you are working through now.
Only the name and links you ask to show are published. Your email address is not. You can ask for your page to be changed or removed at any time.
